The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, or the Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, is held at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Jeddah.
The circuit is a temporary but exciting street circuit with 50 laps that give a total race distance of 191.66 miles (308.45 km), with a lap length of 3.83 miles or 6.17 km.
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is built almost entirely for speed. There are almost no 90-degree turns, which gives it a reputation as one of the fastest circuits on the calendar.
Where is the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix takes place in the Corniche coastal area along the Jeddah waterfront. It’s located in the ancient city of Jeddah in the Middle East.
The port city is known for its hot temperatures and for hosting the fastest street circuit on the calendar.
When is the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix?
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is traditionally held in the spring. The Bahrain GP, Saudi Arabian GP, and the Las Vegas GP are the only Grands Prix on the calendar where the main race takes place on a Saturday instead of a Sunday.
The 2026 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was cancelled, along with the neighbouring Bahrain round, amid the conflict in the Middle East, and neither race was replaced, leaving a five-week gap in the calendar between the Japanese and Miami Grands Prix. The Jeddah race is expected to return in a future season.
Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Tickets
The Saudi Arabian GP has 6 grandstands and a General Admission area, with the cheapest three-day general-admission ticket starting at around $139.
The Main Grandstand A is the place you want to be, as it gets the best share of the action. It overlooks the track, team garages, and the pit lane, which puts you in the center of the action for the fastest street circuit ever seen in Formula 1.

During the 2022 season, there were around 31 overtakes at Jeddah.
Jeddah Corniche Circuit Lap Record
The current lap record at the Saudi Arabian GP is held by Lewis Hamilton, with a time of 1:30.734 achieved during the 2021 season.
Jeddah Corniche Circuit Corners
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit has 27 corners: 5 slow-speed and 22 high-speed. 11 of the corners are right-hand and 16 are left-hand, and the lap direction is anticlockwise.
Jeddah Corniche Circuit Straights & DRS
At Jeddah, you’ll find 3 straights and 3 DRS zones. The longest straight is 2952.76 ft or 900m, which should produce plenty of overtakes during the race. Jeddah is a high-speed street circuit that demands a lot from the drivers.

Saudi Arabian Grand Prix F1 Contract
The Jeddah Corniche circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke as a temporary street circuit, and it held its first Grand Prix in 2021.
